Over a period of twenty years, this privately
owned business became the market leader in a specific type of
credit card related insurance, sold solely via its network of
business partners (banks & credit card providers)
Being a single product provider in a market which had now reached
maturity meant the organisation was looking for new business opportunities
by developing the range of insurance products it offered its business
partners.
In addition the organisation wanted to explore the possibilities
of marketing any new product (s) directly to the general public
and thereby start to “own” the customer relationship
itself.
The challenge was one of product development, channel exploration
and platform integration.
